Question 1

Is your bid a fixed price or a budget number?

Answer

Both, depending on what you ask for. A budget number is appropriate at concept; a fixed price requires complete drawings and a known timeframe. We'll be explicit about which we're providing.

Question 2

What do I need to send for a real quote?

Answer

Anything you have. Best case: structural drawings, PEMB engineer's set, specs, and the project schedule. Minimum: rough size, location, intended use, and target dates. We've quoted off photos of whiteboard sketches before — start with what you have.

Question 3

How long does it take to get a quote back?

Answer

Typically 3–5 business days for labor-only erection. For a full PEMB scope and package (multi-building, heavy industrial), that can take up to two weeks or more. We'll always confirm receipt as soon as reasonably possible with any clarifying questions.

Question 4

Why don't you list price-per-square-foot on the website?

Answer

Because two 40,000 sf buildings can be three times apart in price depending on structural design, skin, site conditions, prices, and accessories. A per-sf number on a website misleads more buyers than it helps. Send your plans through the submittal page and we'll come back with a real, line-item bid.

Are you authorized for specific PEMB manufacturers?

Answer

Yes. We're authorized installers for several major PEMB manufacturers and routinely erect packages from the rest. If your engineer has spec'd a brand, we'll work with it. If you don't have one yet, we'll recommend based on the project's needs and timeline.

Question 6

What's the lead time on PEMB materials?

Answer

Currently 8–14 weeks from order to ship for most major manufacturers. Custom-color overhead doors and specialty trim can extend to 12+ weeks. We flag long-lead items at the kickoff meeting so the GC's procurement schedule reflects them.

Question 7

How long does a typical PEMB take to erect?

Answer

4–8 weeks for the building shell on most commercial PEMBs, depending on size, story count, and weather. Larger industrial buildings (100,000+ sf) typically run 8–14 weeks. Multi-tenant retail centers can be faster because of bay-by-bay phasing.

What's your service area?

Answer

Primary: Nebraska and Iowa. National PEMB supply available. See the Service Area page for specific details.

Question 9

Do you supply PEMB packages, or only erect?

Answer

Both. Within our service area we erect what we supply. Outside our service area we'll supply the package and you bring your own erector — call out "PEMB Supply only" on your submittal.

Yes — that is a common scope for us. Structural steel package, PEMB shell, mezzanines, stairs, and misc. metals all under one scope.
